Abstract<\/strong><\/h4>\n
The purposes of this research were 1) to study challenges and opportunities on MOOCs in EFL classroom of Thai students in higher education and 2) to gather supplemental suggestions. Research samples were 360 undergraduate students at Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology in first semester of 2018 academic year, derived through simple random sampling technique. The instruments used for gathering the data were the rating-scale and open-ended questionnaire. The statistics used for analyzing the data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis. The research findings were as follows:1. The opportunities were cultural factors should be taken into consideration, thinking about the consumers of such MOOCs and about their future MALL students. The consumption of social media and apps seems to be influenced by local and cultural factors. Moreover, providing structure to learner activities can be progressively managed. The challenges were building on early involvement to deliver MOOCs iteratively, and exploring pedagogic, technical and institution responses to all the MOOC challenges such as the role of instructors, modularity, and peer assessment.2. TNI students had supplemental suggestions as following: MOOCs should be provided in learning languages, MOOCs using should be integrated with all subjects.<\/div>\n
