
【Scholarship for Master’s International Students】
Point
① Students from partner schools:
Full examination and enrollment fees wavier, 50% tuition waiver (Type B)
② Students from partner schools who fulfill the conditions: Full examination fees, enrollment fees and tuition waiver and 80,000 monthly scholarship (Type A)
③ KUT master students who pass SSP exam:
Full tuition waiver and 150,000 monthly scholarships while they are in master program.
KUT expanded the eligibility for this program to include all partner universities with which we have agreements in 2024. Starting from the 2026 academic year, we have further updated this scholarship program to better support students from partner institutions, providing them with greater incentives to conduct their research at KUT and to create an environment in which students can fully devote themselves to their research without financial burden

【How to nominate】
Under the revised scholarship system, students will be classified into Scholarship Type A or Scholarship Type B based on their academic ability and their intention to advance to a doctoral program, among other factors.
This scholarship program requires that application documents be compiled by the partner institution and submitted to our university together with a letter of recommendation. In addition, eligibility is limited to applicants who have graduated from a bachelor’s program at a partner institution within the following periods:
- Scholarship Type A: within three years after graduation
- Scholarship Type B: within one year after graduation
【Condition for Scholarship Type A】
①English
To be eligible for Scholarship Category A, applicants are required to demonstrate English proficiency at CEFR B1 level. Specifically, CEFR B1-level English proficiency is defined as meeting one or more of the following criteria:
TOEFL iBT: 42 or above
IELTS (Academic): 4.0 or above
CET-4: 425 or above
WSK (PETS-3): Pass or above
② Academic grade
In addition, applicants must meet the academic performance requirement of achieving a minimum GPA equivalent to 75% of the maximum GPA in their bachelor’s program (e.g., 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale).
【Condition for Scholarship Type B】
The students who whish to advance our doctoral program (SSP) after they obtain master degree are eligible to be Type B scholarship student.
【Master students who pass SSP examination】
Regardless the type of scholarship A or B, even in the case they are not master program’s scholarship recipient, once they pass the examination for KUT Special Scholarship Program (SSP), the same condition as SSP will be adopted while they are still in master program from the next month the admission decision for SSP is made.
